Safety Committee

Responsibilities

• Provides AmSECT members with the tools, resources, and most up-to-date information to care for patients, families, the community, and fellow perfusionists.
• Develop basic guidelines identifying relevant safety alerts and notifications. Work with staff to post them to the website and alert members.
• Promote ECMO perfusion safety by posting narrative discussions of ECMO FMEAs on various list-servers and bulletin boards periodically.
