AmSECT Member Spotlight For Perfusion Management Group, Ltd.
By AmSECT Membership Committee
Redline Perfusion & Consulting is a relatively new start up perfusion company. Its inception was in 2017, yet its roots have been in the making for over 22 years. Mark Martin, President and CEO of Redline Perfusion, has always been interested in the idea of improving patient care and safety. Having worked in academics for almost two decades, he felt it was time to pursue his own path toward making a meaningful difference in the perfusion community.
Mr. Martin’s passion for a more progressive approach to patient care has led him to be a very active member of AmSECT. He is a member of the International Consortium for Evidence-Based Perfusion Committee, where he contributed to the update of the newly adopted and multi-disciplinary endorsed 2023 Standards and Guidelines. He is also a member of the Government Relations Committee, where he helps oversee any legislative issues for Zone 3. Mr. Martin said his desire to be involved and review public policy, as it relates to the field of perfusion, stemmed from his involvement with Florida Perfusion Society where there were continued efforts by other health-related fields that were attempting to encroach on scope of practice of perfusionists.
Redline Perfusion & Consulting continues its mission to provide the safest and highest quality patient care. This mission has provided several opportunities for this company to participate in customer focus groups for some of the industry’s leading vendors and continues to grow the consulting side of the business. More recently, Redline Perfusion was the first company in the United States to use a recent FDA approved patient-centered electronic medical record with the aim to improve data capture, reduce error, and increase safety and outcomes.
Innovation, leadership, care, and service are the hallmarks of this company. It should be no surprise that in 2022, Redline Perfusion & Consulting helped their client, HCA Florida North Florida Hospital receive that year’s Pillar Award of Perfusion Excellence, the only one to do so in the southeast United States. We are eager to see what the group will do in the future and how they will help steer the future of perfusion.
