In-Person Attendee Hotel Overflow Transportation
Due to overflow at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, some attendees are staying at alternative hotels. To accommodate them, AmSECT is providing transportation for those in overflow hotels.
Loews Coronado Bay Resort Shuttle
Daily, 9:00am - 9:00pm, Complimentary
Pick-Up & Drop-Off Locations:
- Loews Coronado Bay Resort: The shuttle pick-up and drop-off are conveniently located in front of the Loews Marina Office.
- Coronado Village: The shuttle pick-up and drop-off is located outside of the Coronado Beach Resort (1415 Orange Ave).
The shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from 9 am to 9 pm, ensuring quick and reliable transportation for guests. The shuttle departs Loews Coronado Bay Resort on the hour and half-hour and leaves Coronado Village at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. No reservations are needed—just hop aboard and enjoy the ride.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Locations:
- Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa: Departs on the hour
- Loews Coronado Bay Resort: Departs on the half-hour
- Glorietta Bay Inn: Departs on the 45-minute
This shuttle is specifically for AmSECT attendees. Please go to the nearest locations for pick-up and drop-off. There are no Wednesday morning or afternoon shuttles available.
UberEVENTS Voucher (Evening Only)
Wednesday – Sunday, Used between 7:00pm - 11:00pm only
An UberEVENTS voucher is available exclusively for attendees staying at overflow hotels. To receive your voucher, visit the registration desk each day with proof of your stay at a different hotel.
This voucher is valid only for pickups at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort and drop-offs at your designated hotel. Drop-offs at any other location will be flagged to AmSECT staff, and you will not be eligible for additional vouchers the following day.
Vouchers can be redeemed for UberX, Comfort, Green, and UberXL rides only.

Registration
What is the cancellation policy for the 63rd International Conference?

Do I need to pre-register for the educational sessions?
You do not need to pre-register for conference sessions during the registration process.
What if I wanted to register after the event starts?
You can still register for the International Conference after it has started – whether that is via our virtual option or in-person. When you register, it may take up to 1 hour for AmSECT staff to provide you with access to the virtual sessions. If you are in person, you can stop by the registration desk to pick up your conference badge!

How do I pay for my registration?
AmSECT accepts both credit card and check payments for the International Conference registration. Credit card payments must be completed online during the registration process. If you will be paying by check, please select the Bill Me option at check out to generate an invoice. Please mail a copy of your invoice and your check to the following address:

When does my payment need to be received to ensure I have access to the conference?
To ensure seamless access to our virtual and in-person event, please have all check payments mailed by Friday, February 28, 2025. Please note that there have been delays in the USPS system – sending payment as early as possible is requested. We are not able to accept any payments sent by FedEx or UPS, and registrants will not have access to the content until payment is received and processed. If your payment is not received by March 7, your registration will be deleted, and you will have to re-register at the prevailing registration rate.
No check payments will be accepted after March 7, 2025, for the International Conference.
I didn’t receive my registration confirmation. What do I do?
Your registration confirmation email is only sent once payment is received. Please contact amsect@amsect.org to resend your confirmation email.
If you signed up the day of the event, it may take up to 1 hour for AmSECT staff to provide you with access to the virtual sessions.
In-Person Conference
Will I be able to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
AmSECT is approved to award up to 45 Category I CEUs by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). To receive credit, you must:
- Submit an online attendance form for every day you attend (scan the QR code at the registration desk to access).

What ADA Accommodations will be made for in-person conference attendees?
AmSECT complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is committed to providing a positive experience for all our attendees. If you have special requirements due to disability, you may indicate your requests during the registration process. Please let us know what request you have before March 7, 2025, so we can make every effort to accommodate your request.
What device can I use to access the Annual Conference Mobile App?
The event can be accessed by mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones, along with personal computers. You will recieve information on how to access the app in your Before You Arrive email.

Virtual Conference
What will be different about a virtual conference?
With this format, AmSECT is striving to assure that all attendees receive the same high-quality education that you expect from the in-person International Conference. Virtual attendees will be able to watch all offered sessions, attend educational breakout sessions of your choice in each time slot, obtain continuing education credits, and submit questions during the Q&A.
The virtual format of the event also allows us to offer select educational breakout sessions to those unable to attend our conference in-person. Please note watching the recorded sessions post-live event will not garner any CEU points.

How will the Virtual Conference be run? Will it be easy to navigate?
The AmSECT Virtual Conference will be run through the mobile app. In advance of the conference, AmSECT will provide attendees with access to the app. AmSECT staff will be available throughout the conference to support and assist attendees.

All registrants will receive an email notification from AmSECT when the session links are available in mid-March.

International Day
What is International Day?
During the pre-conference sessions, colleagues representing over 10 countries across the globe will gather to share their insights and best practices regarding patient care, our profession, and personal wellness such as ECMO, blood management, and more.
Countries represented: Indonesia, Japan, India, Iran, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Great Britain, Brazil.
When is International Day?
International Day will take place virtually over two days: Thursday, March 6, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm PT, and Thursday, March 13 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm PT.
March 6 will feature speakers from Europe and South America, while March 13 will focus on speakers from Asia and Oceania.
What Time Zone will International Day Observe?
International Day will follow Pacific Time (PT).
How Can I Register for International Day?
International Day is included with both virtual and in-person registration. If you have registered for the conference, you are registered for International Day.
