Please note: all nominees will be notified of their nomination after the Achievement Recognition Committee confirms their eligibility.

The John H. Gibbon Jr. Award
The award is designed to honor an individual who has made significant contribution(s) to the field of extracorporeal circulation.
- The profession of the individual is not a criterion for the award.
- The significant contribution must be in, or relate to, the field of extracorporeal circulation.
- There is no limit to the number of times an individual may be nominated, however can only receive the award once.
- Individuals nominated for the award do not need to be a member of AmSECT.
AmSECT Award of Excellence
The Award of Excellence is presented to a perfusionist who has demonstrated excellent work which exemplifies creativity and intellectual originality in extracorporeal technology. This award is presented for excellence in any area such as education, continuing education, research, publication or leadership.
- The individual receiving this award must be active in the field of extracorporeal technology and must be a member of AmSECT.
- No perfusionist may receive this award in two consecutive years.
AmSECT Perfusionist of the Year
The Perfusionist of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the field of extracorporeal technology during the current year.
The individual receiving the award will have demonstrated excellence in the field of extracorporeal technology through noteworthy extracurricular or volunteering activities. This award is not to be presented for any one specific reason repeatedly, for there are many people in the field of extracorporeal technology making worthy contributions in a variety of areas who deserve recognition.
- The award recipient must be active in the field of extracorporeal technology and must be a member of AmSECT.
- No perfusionist may receive this award in two consecutive years.
