Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how clinicians find information, organize knowledge, improve processes, and communicate their work. This presentation will examine practical applications of AI across perfusion practice, education, quality improvement, and professional development. It will then demonstrate how perfusionists can use AI responsibly to move from a bedside observation or clinical question toward literature evaluation, project development, and clinical scholarship. Emphasis will be placed on human oversight, patient privacy, source verification, professional accountability, and the continuing importance of clinical judgment.

Participants will be able to:

• Identify practical opportunities for AI to support perfusion practice, education, quality improvement, and professional development.
• Describe an AI-supported pathway for moving from a clinical observation to a research question, evidence review, project, and manuscript.
• Recognize the limitations and responsibilities associated with AI, including privacy, hallucinations, source verification, authorship, and human accountability.
