Description
Reports to the Chief of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Manages daily operations of the Perfusion Division of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Strives to maintain a positive and productive working environment to promote collaboration between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and hospital staff to provide outstanding patient health care. Provides guidance in the achievement of long-term goals for the division.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an allied health field, perfusion, or related scientific field, and Graduate of an accredited Perfusion program
- 7 years of experience as a Perfusionist
- (PERF) PERFUSIONIST – American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certified and must have an active Perfusion license by Texas Medical Board. Upon Hire
- (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT through course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Upon Hire
- (ACLS) ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT through course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Upon Hire
