About the Role
- Part-time position based at a single site (Lakeview Hospital)
- Approximately 170+ cases annually, including CABGs, Valve procedures, Aortic dissection/aneurysm repairs, TAVR, and Laser Lead Extractions
- On-call rotation: approximately 2 weekends per month, plus 1 weekday per week
- Greater schedule control and flexibility than typical hospital-employed or travel perfusion roles
- Work alongside an experienced, supportive team in a hospital environment that values collaboration and clinical excellence
What You'll Do
- Operate Cardiopulmonary Bypass, Cell Saver Device, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, and other equipment during cardiac and other applicable surgical procedures
- Monitor and adjust perfusion parameters in real time based on patient status and surgeon/anesthesiologist direction
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all safety protocols are followed Participate in on-call coverage rotation
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to changes during procedures
Requirements
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential in good standing
- Louisiana Perfusionist license required (or must be obtained prior to start date)
- 1+ years of clinical perfusion experience
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment under pressure
- A team-first mindset — you'll be joining a small, close group where fit matters as much as skill
- Reliable availability for the on-call schedule above
