Description
Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated, skilled Staff Perfusionist to join our cardiac surgery team. Located in Newport News, VA, our hospital sits at the heart of the Coastal Virginia region, minutes from Williamsburg and Yorktown—areas known for top-ranked public schools, safe, family-friendly communities, and a low cost of living, with access to historic towns, beaches, scenic parks, and cultural attractions. You'll join a high-functioning cardiac program with roughly 250 open-heart cases annually, minimal ECMO, and no VADs or transplants. Day shift with on-call rotation; weekends as needed.
Benefits
Compensation is $165,000–$185,000 annually, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation assistance. Benefits include 401(k) with company contribution, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO with CME reimbursement, company-paid life insurance, and FSA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher. Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion program/li>
- Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or ABCP board eligible/li>
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)/li>
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills/li>
- Ability to maintain high standards of safety and patient care/li>
- Must be able to relocate to Newport News, VA before starting work.
