Description
As an accredited Clinical Perfusionist, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team, delivering a comprehensive range of perfusion services to support cardiac surgery and other specialties as needed.
You will collaborate as a key member of a multidisciplinary team alongside Cardiac Surgery, the Department of Anaesthesia, and ICU to deliver exceptional patient care. You will identify opportunities for quality improvement and work with the Cardiac Surgery team to develop and implement effective improvement plans. A regular day will see you:
- Operation of heart-lung machines
- Management of ECMO/ECLS systems
- Insertion and monitoring of intra-aortic balloon pumps
- Administration of cell-saving and autotransfusion techniques for perfusion-related procedures
