Description
Three (3) dual-certified Clinical Perfusionists/Autotransfusionists needed to support the cardiac surgery program at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. Two full-time on-site positions and one on-call position available. Full-time with benefits. Long-term opportunity (base year plus four option years) supporting veteran healthcare at one of the premier VA medical centers on the West Coast. Responsibilities include heart-lung bypass management, extracorporeal circulation, autotransfusion and blood salvage, ECMO, IABP, centrifugal VAD, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, patient physiology monitoring, perfusion documentation, equipment maintenance, and intraoperative emergency response. On-Site: $228,800 annually. On-Call: $187,200 annually. Full-time with benefits.
Requirements
Active CCP certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) required. Autotransfusionist (CAT) certification required. Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited perfusion program. Minimum ten (10) years clinical perfusion experience. Minimum 1,000 clinical perfusion cases. Demonstrated experience in open heart surgery, autotransfusion, heart-lung machine operation, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, IABP, and centrifugal ventricular assist device management. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Active NPI. Current CME/CEU credits. Must be a U.S. citizen. English fluency required. Must reside within 45 minutes of SFVAHCS or willing to relocate. Federal healthcare experience preferred.
