Description
Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of patient care, including personnel and operational activities on a 24-hour unit. Develop and maintain care delivery systems and a team to meet patient care needs. Establish a plan for the delivery of quality care in Perfusion Services, including development of perfusion clinical procedure guidelines, policies and participation in research efforts. Responsible for competency assessment system for staff and coordination of ongoing training for Perfusionists. Maintain an active role with the capital equipment process. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Contributes to the professional image of Cardiac Surgery by promoting clinical research and teaching, and implementation of new techniques and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; supplemented with three (3) years of related perfusion experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Graduate of a Perfusion Technology Program accredited by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
- Minimum of two years management experience required
