The ECMO Educator develops, implements, and evaluates training and education programs for mechanical circulatory support initiatives. This role also provides direct clinical care to patients of all ages requiring ECMO and other mechanical circulatory support in critical care settings. Responsibilities include monitoring and operating mechanical circulatory devices, evaluating new technologies and techniques, collaborating with ECMO Leadership on protocols and best practices, and tracking program outcomes through internal and ELSO database management, benchmarking, and complication monitoring. This full-time position is eligible for benefits and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external candidates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Perfusion Technology required, Master’s preferred.
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of neonatal/pediatric acute care experience, including 3–5 years of ECMO experience.
- Preference given to those with 10 years of neonatal/pediatric acute care experience. Current Massachusetts licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Perfusionist required, along with RRT-NPS certification.
