Normothermic Regional Perfusionists play a crucial role in the maintenance and optimization of organ perfusion prior to transplantation procedure. The primary responsibility of the specialist will be to oversee the process of normothermic regional perfusion to thoracic organ, abdominal organ, or both, intended for transplantation to ensure the organ function is adequately assessed prior to transplantation.
This position includes remote, on-call duties to accommodate the timing of organ procurement and transplantation procedures.
Requirements
- Respond to the hospital/procurement team in a timely manner
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in clinical perfusion
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting related to organ transplantation, perfusion technology, extracorporeal therapies, or critical care medicine
- Proficiency in operating perfusion and other extracorporeal equipment to include monitoring systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist (CCP)
