Description
The Heart Institute at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Perfusionist to join a collaborative congenital heart team. This position provides perfusion support for pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery, including open-heart procedures, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
Program highlights include approximately 150 cardiopulmonary bypass cases annually and a dedicated nurse-driven ECMO team. Call is shared equally among three perfusionists, supporting a healthy work life balance. Opportunities for research, education and professional development are available. Responsibilities include providing safe reliable perfusion services for pediatric and congenital cardiac procedures, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support cases. Collaborate closely with two surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other Heart institute team members. Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to hospital and departmental protocols.

Requirements
- ABCP certification required, or ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment
- Tennessee perfusion license required, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- One to three years of pediatric perfusion experience preferred
- New graduates or students with strong pediatric clinical experience will be considered
- Strong teamwork, communication, professionalism, and commitment to pediatric patient care are essential
