Description
The Perfusion Assistant plays a vital support role within the Integration Health perfusion team, working under the direct supervision of a Clinical Perfusionist. This position ensures the safe and efficient operation of extracorporeal circulation and blood management systems, contributing to patient safety through the preparation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of perfusion equipment and related supplies.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or related field preferred
- Prior experience in hospital, surgical, or operating room settings is desirable
- Certified Autotransfusionist (PBMT or equivalent) preferred but not required
- Training provided with defined pathways toward advanced perfusion roles
