Description
UPMC Procirca Perfusion is recruiting at WellSpan Hospital in York, PA ahead of a joint retirement. It's an exciting time of growth and renewal at York- Dr. Sanjay Samy has joined York as Chief Surgeon of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Brian McCormick has come on board as our Sr. Director of Perfusion, and the new Tower construction is well underway, set to open next year. Our team of five Perfusionists and one Perfusion Assistant cover CABG's, valves, some aortic procedures, a handful of VADs, and non-cardiac cell savers, while a hospital-based specialist team covers ECMO.
his position is full-time, salary plus call and overtime pay, offers great UPMC benefits, and a $30,000 sign-on bonus with commitment.
Requirements
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or met Grandfather Clause of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and Licensing Board of US state where practicing
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Certified or certification-eligible as per guidelines of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within 24 months of hire date
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance required for some positions
