We are tasked with staffing the Madison VA with a Board Certified Perfusionist.

Requirements

• Performed a minimum of 1000 clinical cases
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology
• ABCP Certification and current on all continuing education requirements
• Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgical cases and various types of valve replacements
• Perfusionists responsibilities include viewing the patient record prior to the surgery to review the surgeon’s plan of care
• Services include preparation, operation and maintenance of the heart and lung machines/pump, auto transfusion pump, intra-aortic balloon pump and centrifugal ventricular assist device.
