As a vital member of the surgical team, you will manage extra-corporeal circulation equipment to support or temporarily replace a patient’s circulatory and respiratory functions.

Advanced Case Management: Safely conduct Cardio-Pulmonary Bypass (CPB), managing blood pressure, flows, volumes, and gas balance with absolute precision.

Ancillary Therapies: Operate and trouble-shoot a diverse array of advanced clinical technologies, including Intra-operative Autologous Blood Salvage (IABS), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumping (IABP), Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), ECMO, HIPEC, and AngioVac procedures.

Collaborative Care: Partner dynamically with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the wider OR team to manage patient data, maintain situational awareness, and adapt seamlessly to changing clinical needs.

Innovation & Safety: Champion high safety standards, evaluate advanced clinical products, and participate in data quality reviews and team-oriented in-services.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP/AC-PE accredited Perfusion School. A BS or BA degree is preferred.
• Experience: Open to all levels! We welcome experienced clinicians as well as Graduate Perfusionists ready to launch their careers.
• Core Knowledge: Strong foundation in heart-lung machinery, circuit design, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement: Certification-Eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
• Must achieve ABCP certification (CCP) within 3 years of hire and maintain it annually.
• Current BLS Certification.
