Full-time | 10 hours, 4 days | $76.50–$95.11 per hour

Mount Sinai South Nassau, the Long Island flagship hospital of the Mount Sinai Health System, is a Magnet®-designated teaching hospital providing advanced cardiac care. We are seeking a Perfusionist to operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during procedures that require support or replacement of a patient’s cardiopulmonary function. You will monitor key physiologic parameters and manage extracorporeal circulation throughout the procedure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Perfusion Technology, or a bachelor’s degree plus a Certificate in Perfusion Technology from an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program.
• New York State perfusionist licensure and certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Limited permit holders must obtain the permit before providing treatment and obtain full licensure within one year of receiving the permit.
• One year of perfusionist experience, including clinical rotations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to apply basic algebra and statistics.
