We are seeking an experienced (or strong new grad) candidate for our team at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. The program has a solid adult surgical program and a growing ECLS program (ECMO Specialist based primary staffing model) providing additional income opportunities. No chasing surgeons around town and bouncing from one facility to the next. Only 25% on-call responsibilities. The quality of life could not be better. We are looking for an experienced Staff Perfusionist but will consider a new graduate with strong skills. Qualified candidates must demonstrate professional, well-developed interpersonal communication skills while interacting with health care team members, patients and families. Comprehensive Care Services is certified by the Joint Commission and provides superior perfusion and autotransfusion services. We employ highly skilled board certified or board eligible perfusionists in addition to providing informatics, data and quality management, point of care testing, blood conservation programs, hardware and inventory management solutions to our client medical centers throughout North America. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited perfusion program (US, Canada, UK, Australia/NZ only per NV statute). Evidence of commitment to continued education and self-development. Orientation to duties to be accomplished within six months.
- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, health care team members, patients and their families.
- Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. If new grad, opportunity to acquire certification within 12 months from date of hire.
- Nevada Perfusion Licensure must be obtained along with Nevada Laboratory POC License. All expenses associated with these are reimbursed.
