Description
Comprehensive Care Services Inc. is looking for a Staff Perfusionist for Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, IN with at least three-five years of experience. Salary for this position will be $225,000 and the selected candidate will ensure that the Perfusion Department meets quality standards within the resources available. Ensures that the Perfusion Department responds to Open Heart Surgery, Autotransfusion, Pump Standby and IABP according to protocols and Hospital agreement. Primarily CABGs, isolated valves, and TAVRs. Performs procedures relative to the physiological management of patients' circulatory and respiratory functioning during and following cardiac surgery, under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and operating surgeon. There are very few after hours/weekend cases performed providing for a very nice quality of life.
Evansville, IN is in southern Indiana within a couple of hours of Louisville, KY and Nashville, TN. Evansville is an up-and-coming city due to its geographical location with a vibrant downtown that now includes a local arts scene and craft breweries. Evansville sits right on the banks of the Ohio river and has several activities for your outdoor enthusiasts as well, including biking and hiking trails and multiple golf courses within and surrounding the city. Requirements
- 3 to 5 years plus experience
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules
- Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, health care team members, patient, and families
- Must have bachelor’s or master’s degree and be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or board eligible and have current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
