Do I need to pre-register for the educational sessions?

No, you do not need to pre-register conference sessions during the registration process.

What will be different about a virtual conference?

Virtual attendees will be able to watch all offered sessions, attend educational breakout sessions of their choice, obtain continuing education credits, and submit questions during the Q&A, similar to the in-person experience.

What is International Day?

International Day is a pre-conference program where colleagues from across the globe share insights and best practices on topics such as ECMO, blood management, and more.

CEU Information

64^th AmSECT International Conference CEU Information

AmSECT is approved to award up to 40.2 Category I CEUs by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). CEUs are awarded based on the sessions you attend (1 CEU = 50 minutes).

These credits include Virtual Pre-Conference Sessions (International Days) and the in-person conference.

Instructions on Receiving Credit

All attendees—both virtual AND in-person—must complete these steps to earn CEUs:

Submit the CEU Attendance Tracking survey every day on the days you attend. This form is only available on the day of attendance, and CEUs will not be awarded if it is not completed.
Complete the post-conference evaluation after the event concludes.
Claim your certificate by the deadline (September 29, 2026).

Submitting Attendance Surveys

All attendees—both virtual AND in-person—must submit the CEU Attendance Tracking survey for each day that they wish to claim CEUs.

CEUs will not be provided if a daily survey is not submitted. The attendance survey is only accessible on the day of attendance.

To submit your attendance:

Open the “Agenda” in the event app
Click on “CEU Attendance Tracking: Date” for that day
Click the “Survey” button at the top
Answer Yes or No to the attendance question
Click “Submit”. A confirmation email will be sent upon completion

Certificates

All attendees are responsible for maintaining their own continuing education documentation. Please be sure to download and save your certificate promptly for your records.

Requests for certificates or CEU credit updates must be made within 6 months of the event. Requests for certificates must be submitted by Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

How many CEUs can I earn?

AmSECT is approved by ABCP to award up to 40.2 Category I CEUs, which includes Virtual Pre-Conference International Days (March 11 & 18) and the Austin Conference (March 25-29).

March 11: 2.4 CEU
March 18: 1.5 CEU
March 25: 2.4 CEU
March 26: 9.6 CEU
March 27: 10.8 CEU
March 28: 8.7 CEU
March 29: 4.8 CEU

Can I earn CEUs by attending both online and in person (hybrid attendance)?

Yes. All in-person attendees receive virtual access to all accredited sessions as well. Whether you attend in person or online, the sign-in process and attendance requirements are the same. You may combine online and in-person participation to earn CEUs, provided you fully attend each session.

Can I get CEUs for watching session recordings?

No. AmSECT is only approved by the ABCP to offer Category I CEUs for live participation. To earn CEUs, you must attend sessions in real time—either online or in person.
